052810f Don'T Take If Not Yours
silence of the night is wonderful
you can hear almost everything
especially when your ears press
against the ground; earth does
speak softly to your inner soul
some of us are gifted to listen
right now i could hear gushing water
making it's way unhampered to a hole
for my herd to feast when sun wakes up
i could hear steps creeping to steal
unknowing i am awake and watching
i have to protect mine by all means
