12 Months Of You Poem by Elizabeth Gaytan

12 Months Of You

Breathing, I breathe slowly
retrieveing every heartbeat.
I retrieve for nothing,
because your gone.
12 months of you has begun.

January is here,
but your not.
February is close,
but your still gone.
March approaches and
your memories still haunts me.
April comes your gone
but your ghost is not.
May gets close and
I'm still missing you.

June comes out and
the sun still burns my heart.
July creeps in and I think
I forgotten you but I lied.
August visits me and
it reminds me of you.
September ran into me and
said 'Why haven't you learned to let go? '

October came along
but yet your still gone.
November likes to rain and
so does my heart.
December came fast and
buried my heart underneath its white sand.
