The little drops of dew on the mead
Glitter in the very morning sun light
Like the pearls worn by a maid
In a festival or at her wedding ceremony at night.
In the season of autumn and winter
When evening turns into night
The drops of dew fall through the ether
From heaven out of our sight.
Perhaps at night when the angel cries
Or the fairies fly and dance in the sky
The tears fall on the earth from their eyes
Either for their sorrow or for excessive joy.
Mayhaps when at a festive night in heaven
God and goddess dance and sing with mirth
And they get tired due to excessive merriment,
The tears from their eyes fall on the earth.
Or when men suffer and pray to God or Goddess,
From heaven the drops of dew are sent to the earth at night
As the liquid pearls for our happiness
And we feel better to see them glistening in the very morn light.
