Dreaming rosy dreams and wasting time can be more enslaving and oppressive than having no dreams at all. This is equally applicable to the young and the old. Our dreams shouldn't be beyond our capabilities. Dreams can lead a man to the pinnacles of success and sometimes to the nadir of defeat! Thank you for making me think of the darker side of dreams. You always give some food for thought!

Terrific insight, Valsa. Perhaps there are even times when nightmares and dark dreams do not represent hostile forces! Thank you so much.

The life cycle of life, the life cyclus of our life, a beautiful brevity with most valuable words to be pondered upon. Lovely thought provoking poem. I like the words created here, GBU in Abundance. A 10+++++++ for the vote and rating. A dashing poem, fascinatingly rendered. (my 1st grandchild was born on this day last year, we reside in NL)

You´re most welcome, MJ, that poem was chosen as Member Poem Of The Day by PH and it´s a tribute poem for my first grandkid. I am very happy, also because of my eldest son´s epousse cannot have a baby, I am happiest for my hub, since he is the one who is eagerly waiting for a grandson, and this grandkid is a boy. I am thankful for this blessing God´s. Sorry for the length, MJ

Part 2. At what point do we call off the pursuit- -there surely would have been brilliant inventions left on the drawing board. But for every success, there are thousands who failed to capture that illusive dream. Mj- -you have once again given me much to think about. 10++++++++++++++++++ and onto my fav list

Thank you so very much, Susan. Yes, I am not sure that dreams are entirely positive. Perhaps no one thing is unambiguously good or bad. That does not mean dreams have to be nightmares. Perhaps, maybe, that middle ground appears in the form of obsession...and ends in frustration or failure.

Part 1 That made me blink....then it made me think. I had never thought of dreams that way. What an enlightening poem. I've always thought of dreams in their beneficial onward and upward role- -but sometimes- perhaps often times- our dreams bring ruin and sorrow as we follow them throughout a lifetime better spent in other activities.
