(951) A Big Mistake

Rating: 5.0

The morning sun trickles through the shade.
Our love takes on a new charade.
The pillow beside me is empty still,
another day of lies at will.

What must a man of betrayal do,
When stained by the likes of you.
I feel I’m burning up inside,
cheated on by my new bride.

I quickly wash away the tears,
kneel and pray beside my bed.
I left my wife of many years,
and married you instead.

Each and every day I face,
I think of the love I left behind.
I left a good woman without a trace,
of good feelings, I was so unkind.

I ask forgiveness from my ex wife
with all my heart and soul.
I realize now, that our life.
was filled with a love, true and whole.

You tackled a hard subject here very well...Why is it that one must look beyond what they have right under their nose....and when they leave it for something else...only then is it missed.....One of them many human errors that boggles the mind.....well done again Melvina
