A Better Half Poem by Bismark Sosu

A Better Half

Time would bring you to me, maybe not now, but surely never never.
I’ve fought the truth of my youth, denying a passion that burns without question.
You mirror my every desire, in degrees hotter than this fire.
I am no believer in fairy tales, but from your eyes, my Cinderella hails.
Give me reasons to believe, another season to re-live.
Heart of my heart, soul of my soul.
Time has no meaning, distance has no power.
Make me your knight; the kind to stroke away your nights.
Build for us our dreams; the kind to flow in a thousand streams.
One more time, let me hear that laughter- with a soothing breeze lasting now and ever after.
