A Bond

  a bond
that will last
through time.
a devotion,
a trust, forged;
tested
in the fires of life.
old lovers,
no longer lost
to uncertainty of youth,
strong with faith;
courage born of adversity.
all that matters now,
in this part of the journey,
is what they find in each others eyes.

This kind of love is hard to find, and if found even harder to let go...
