A Brief Comparison Of Past And Present Poem by Andy Pandy

A Brief Comparison Of Past And Present

I was chasing airplanes through the sky,
And as they turned and danced,
The clouds were photographs
And I was full of life.
Meanwhile, time kept flying by.
And as I turned around
I saw that I was lost,
The ground was out of sight.

I sat on icy steps,
And said a prayer for all the short of breath like me.
Because we all need to breath.
I'll turn around,
Retrace my steps,
Head back home,
And hang my head in shame.
Because nothing stays the same.

My body's hurting,
The vultures circling,
But the ocean is so far away.
And now the sun is setting,
But I keep forgetting
Just who the hell am I supposed to be.

Without motion everything falls apart.

I was chasing rabbits 'round the yard,
And as they turned and danced,
Flowers were photographs,
And I was glad I came this far.
Meanwhile, time kept ticking on,
And as I turned to run,
I saw that there was nothing left that I could count on.

Hold me in your arms,
Until this storm is over.

I especially like this once... Either we are two like minded individuals, or this is something that simply everyone should relate too.
