I Am Tree Poem by Andy Pandy

i am a tree
i'll hold you in my branches
hide you in my leaves
love is a precious thing
if i'm taking any chances
i'm taking you with me

and you can nest in my limbs
build yourself a place to rest your head

i pray that you know
each word that i say as truth
and i could be your home
and you could be the water to my roots

when the sky opens up
sit in my shade, sheltered from the sun

far from the winds
the gust and swirl around us
and when the sun sets
i'll stand holding you close

i'll carry you home.
