Lord may I slow down the pace
That Christmas usually brings
The busyness of running around
To buy the gifts and things
The cooking and the baking
The meals to be prepared
And think upon the Gift You are
And the message to be shared

So many hurting people Lord
We pass them every day
BroKen heart's in need of mending
They need to know the Way
And we who have You in our life
Pray give us voice to express
The blessing of Your love for all
And the offering of forgiveness

How I pray to pray the more
This world is in darkened days
And men who have rejected the Truth
Are lost and in a haze
The Father of lies has blinded eyes
To the Gift of so great Salvation
By Your Holy Spirit Lord
Bring revival unto our nation

May I who am a recipient of
Lay hold of Your faithfulness
Reminded of Your coming to earth
Your coming the world to bless
And in the giving of Your Son
For the Gift of so great Salvation
How repentance can change a life
