A Circus Of Pain Poem by Hyde

A Circus Of Pain

would it matter?
if i took my life right now.
not without pain of course.
first i’ll tear my tongue in two, so i can cease my endless lies.
next i’ll claw my eyes, so all i see is blood.
then will come my feet, for i do not deserve them.
i’ll take my mother’s pins and drive them between my toes.
the mirror will finally be of some use as smash my face against it.
i’ll take the shards to my wrists so scarlet streams will flow.
i’ll drink the blood then slice my throat just to see it gush.
last will come my barely beating heart.
i’ll try to stifle it by swallowing my own agony and guilt.
and just before i leave the world, i’ll grab your picture and keep it near.
as i begin my descent into the pits of HELL.

Hi! , I’m Eddie Roa and I just got in to this website. By chance I came across your name in the list of poets and read some of your works. I have posted some of my poems today and yesterday. My style ranges from light to dark poetry (modern enough but not postmodern) and some Japanese verse forms like haiku, senryu and tanka. I hope you will bother to check out my work. Thanks and happy writing.
