This world is more than dark and light
And there is more than black and white
If you don't color outside the lines
You will remain deaf, dumb, and blind
Yeah, you may be able to use your eyes
But what you see are your own lies
And you may be be able to use your ears
But you only hear what you want to hear
And you may be able to comprehend
But how can you understand when you only offend?
When you only defend your own opinion?
When everything has to fit YOUR definition?
This world we're in don't work that way
Not everyone will listen to what you got to say
So don't be stupid! Don't be shallow
Or your life will be left empty and hollow
You will be lost, sad, and alone
And won't ever really be at home
So open your eyes, ears, mind, and heart
Don't let those misconceptions tear your life apart
That births prejudice and racist ideals
At which point, no one ever feels
The need to fix this world we've broken
Our tattered hearts are only tokens
Of what is wrong with society today
So pay attention to what you say
And watch your mouth in case you offend
And speak not of what you can't comprehend
Or someone will shut your mouth for you
And all will suffer who adore you
And be left in the wake of this nonexist
All because you got somebody pissed
And I know this is like talking to a wall...

But I'd rather do this than nothing at all.

I am moved to tears from this poem!
'I know this is talking to a wall...
But I would rather do this than nothing at all'
If you are talking to a wall, this wall is all ears. I have never read seach a truth in seuch exact words before.
'So open your eyes, ears, mind, and heart
Don't let those misconceptions tear your life apart'
And just like every one of us who wants to change the world, you are determined to speak your mind even if noone's there to listen.
And I can tell you, these words WILL be listned to.
You are a true artist, one who is willing to do anything to make people see the honesty and the beauty that is right in front of their eyes and you are also a fighter for a better world, and I will stand beside you in this fight to the bitter end.
