A Crazy World Poem by Dannielle Smedley

A Crazy World

Rating: 4.5

It’s a crazy world we live in,
The darkness,
The cold,
It’s so brutal.
Some die young, some die old.
Families being torn apart,
The loss of a love one,
The breaking of a heart.
The lies, the hate, the love,
The feeling of neglect ion,
Watching the stars up above.
The feeling when you meet ‘the one’
Some days you see a cloudy sky,
Other days, you see nothing but a bright blue sky,
and the sun.
Friendships and fights,
Not being able to sleep,
And staying up all night.
Working or going to school,
Enjoying a nice summer day,
Sitting by the pool.
Laughing or crying,
The feeling of being loved,
Will leave you smiling.
Some see rainbows every day,
While others, see nothing but black and white,
And they will do anything to get away.
So many different people in the world,
So many different lives,
But only two genders,
Boys and girls.
People are being judged by others,
People are finding it hard to cope,
Some people are fathers, and some are mothers.
Everyone is beautiful, we may be different,
But we are all equal.
We are all individuals,
We all have our own opinions and lives,
There are no wrongs,
And there are no rights.
Everyone deserves happiness and freedom,
But some people have been sad,
For far too long.
The world is a big scary place,
But each and every one of you
Deserve a massive smile on your face.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Thank you very much for the last two lines. You have narrated the goings on of the world very well. Your thoughts of every one being equal and everyone deserving freedom, peace and happiness is well appreciated. I like the all encompassing theme of the poem. There are differences among us in many ways but at the end of the day we all look for a happy home, a free mind, a family where everybody love each other, and of course, a loving spouse who can be our strength in moments of weakness.
