Treasure Island

Sandra Feldman

A Fantastic Trip

You and I,
We live to write,
And breath and hug the Sea,
We hear Its sound,
Its movement, found,
Night after night,
Hypnotic mystery.

Oh, to be Free,
And sail the night,
In our ship,
'The Fantasy',
And there remain,
Never return,
To cruel reality

    I'm a guy and I fix stuff
Why don't we put all the cruel reality
    on a big boat
and give the sail a puff?
    Fanta-sea flavor
    rough?
    Fantasy Land
    or Fanta-sea?
    Both are fine with me.

    Another lovely write! (Report) Reply

Beautiful poem Sandra. It's a fantastic trip, on the ship The Fantasy, where you travel into the sea with hypnotic mystery...but never to return to the cruelty...Our thoughts travel too far and come back to where we stand.
Short and beautiful Poem. Loved reading it. (Report) Reply
