A Fight For Life Poem by Abdul Wahab

In woods
Plants vie for lights
Here I fight for life
Against all odds
Against all adversaries
To survive a little bit longer
To spend time a little bit better
A life for long I cherished
Like many other people and I know
They have already made this world a jungle where
Every one fights every one
For a place for a position
Bitterly vies for recognition
Making life more complicated and difficult
But I resolve to fight of my own
Like a seal fights
For the safe breeding ground
On the shore near the sea
Let come what fate has stored for me
No more I fear let come whatever worse
I swear I will give it a fight it never sees
As I am strongly determined to drink life to the lees.
