A Flower To Auroville Mother-63 Poem by Indira Renganathan

A Flower To Auroville Mother-63

Peace lily(Cobra plant
Spathiphyllum wallisii)

Ah, a name of tranquility
Will dislike her any?

Perfect with bright light
With food and moist correct

Why worry when blooms peace
Boarding her white at ease

Not scary though has a cobra-hood
For her beauty is our soul's food

Dark green leaves soil borne lordly
Oval and shiny and perennial godly

Eco-friendly environs' cleanser
Sturdy and sweet home freshener

Majestic queen she's watching
Bewitched, with her we're patching
