What do you think this poem is about?

A Jesus Sandwich

Coffee and cream,
Straight stocking seam,
Two old gossips finger wag, belly sag,
Eyebrows raise. Seen better days.
Lordy, Lordy,
A special view of relativity!

This country, she go to the dogs!
Gravity roots them to their seats,
Infinity rattles the atoms in their bones.
They've bagged a Bible apiece

Lordy Lordy
A Jesus sandwich.

I like this poem. The title grabbed my attention and then on reading through the way you have described the scene of two old gossips made me laugh. The rhythm of the poem has an excellent timing to it when read, giving it a delivery and an impact.
