My child!
do you know
how to smile?
if you learn to smile
you'll forget to weep
then no apathy
can touch your life
like the flower
does not know to weep
so take the lesson
from a flower
never knew
how to weep.
Martelle Mcpartland Hi Ramesh, would you consider calling the poem, A Smile? I would break the poem up into stanzas, there is a natural break after, how to smile, so I would have those first three lines as a stanza. Next stanza, next four lines. Last stanza, ..just like a flower that does not know how to weep. I would omit the last four lines as that is a repeat of the lesson.

The power of smile is so profound. Nicely said in the poem. Thank you.
