A Poem By My Son - 2

I want to go back to my granny's lap,
Where i could feel the warmth of her
hug.
I want to go back to the first day of
my school,
Where i could be innocent again.
I want to go back to play those
games,
Where i could forget all my pain.
I want to go back to my class-room,
Where I could build my future again.
I want to go back to those narrow
lanes,
Where I could break some more
glass panes.
I want to go back to spend evenings
with friends,
Where my fun would not have an
end.
I want to go back to my childhood,
Where i could just be myself again.

Thank you Geethaji. You have left no room to say 'THANK YOU'. This poem is not mine but by my son. He is addicted to same nature to which once i belonged to. i could not preserve my previous write during my teen or after. but i am trying to preserve his write. Thank you so much.

Yes, very true said...Childhood is full of innocence, happiness and those memories are sweet to be remembered. But unfortunately we cannot go back. Loved the way you presented it. (Report) Reply

How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
