A Letter To Son Poem by Ritika Deborah George

A Letter To Son

Rating: 5.0

Keeping you for so long in my body
Feeling you taking a complete form of body

You were the best smile to wear
My hardest pain to bear

Watching you grow
Waiting for the fruits from seeds I sow

My hair became white
With the time and tide

Wishing if I was in my sweet home
I cry silently on this roadside roam

For plays I always stitched your cape
Today my cold body hardly has saree to drape

Crumbs of bread and sometimes tea
Cant relief me and leaves me thirsty

Heat and cold troubles me
Sons like you throw pebbles at me

When clouds pour heavily and sun shines bright
I run places finding shelter to hide

My trembling footsteps can't hold on for long
Soon I will be singing my death song

As I go on my last road
I leave my blessings to you and love load.

Its only the mother's love which can never be paid off from the world's zillions of money. She is an idol of love. Thank you sir for your appreciation

Hi Ritika, The unconditional love of a mother is expressed in a quite emotionally saturated manner.
