An Adieu Poem by Ritika Deborah George

An Adieu

Rating: 5.0

In different world midst new faces
I saw a mother in your unknown faces

I knew dreaming with my wide eyes
You gave me aim to fly high

Everything around was a mystery
With you I solved my chemistry

Climbing ladders at times I fall
It dismay not with you my wall

For things you gave I can't pay
Walking your prints is all I pray

You made me stand above the odds
I give you place higher than God

Where I go, I want you there
For my journey just begins here

I owe my present past and future
At your feet lies this timid creature

Just not worthy to stand beside
In your shadow only I may reside

I beseech you to be my umbrella
Guide me like fairy to Cinderella

You are a teacher and my creator
I pay my gratitude now and years later
