He stood by a big bird
Reluctant to leave
He asked his dad
to bring the bird home
Daddy shook his head
Saying, no, baby
If I put you in a cage
Would you be happy?
He leaned against a cage
Reluctant to leave
He asked his dad
to buy the cat home
Daddy shook his head
Saying, no, baby
If you felt lonely
She'd be more lonely
He was there still, gazing at
The bird, the cat - regret
Such simplicity is beautiful, you have captured the child's feelings perfectly. Wonderful poem, I enjoyed reading it very much. Thank you, RoseAnn
I suggest you to change the title to the pet shop . :) once my cat hunted a pidgin, we saved it and looked after it for more than a month , our patio became the pidgin's room. but still a cage .. a big one, , , and I released the pidgin to the biggest cage: the sky!
