A Little Voice Poem by Jenny MORETTER

A Little Voice

Can we go for a walk today?
Maybe just go outside and play
Please do not sit on the couch and watch TV
Come roll on the floor and play with me
I know your busy but I need you to see
How much you being home means to me
I will sit and wait patiently by the door
Hoping you will not leave and stay some more
I know I can be bad sometimes
Get into things that are yours not mine
It makes me sad when you scream and shout
Just open the door and let me out
I may be stubborn and sometimes naughty
Don't' spank me please just take me potty
Do not ignore me and push me aside
For it is hard to see the tear in my eye
I can not speak so you can hear
How much I treasure when your near
I am may be big or I may be small
But I need your love most of all
Pet me please and brush my hair
So that I know you love and truly care
