A Log

A log,
welcoming me,
to sit.
To watch the water
and birds and sky.
To hear the wind
carrying the sound,
of waves and birds
and the joggers pace
upon the sand
as he passes by.
To feel the breeze
and temperature of air
and the hardness of my seat
and beating of my Heart,
here alone,
to ponder,
my thoughts
of life.

Thank and hold the log! Lovely nature provides us joy which no other force on earth can provide. To enjoy nature, a gift from the Almighty - the allknowing creator! (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
