A Miss America In Waiting Poem by Donal Mahoney

A Miss America In Waiting

She has wanted to be Miss America
since third grade when she won the lead
in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Now a finalist, she has told the judges
she wants to lecture at colleges on why
men must stop objectifying women.

After her reign as Miss America, she wants
to become the nation's first female president.
Unless she's trumped by someone this year.
