Merl Austin

A new soul is born

Pain and terror fill the room
Screams echo in the gloom
Trying to calm her he holds her hand
Only to be followed by the doctor’s last demand
The pain is soon a thing of the past
When the precious being is held in her arms
Why can’t the moment last?
No time to mourn
For A new soul is born

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
