A Part of Me
You are a part of me child
It’s undeniably true.
Look how you say certain words
And through silly things you do!
I'm in your mannerisms,
Little gestures and slight moves;
I'm in your choice of clothing,
Even in your taste of foods.
In many of your features
Everyone can plainly see,
A part of me in you child
And a part of you in me.
I'm so happy that you are,
I'm as proud as I can be,
All can see you're just as proud
That you are a part of me.

'A part of me in you child

Rachel Ann Butler
How beautifull this is. IT trully brought tears to my eyes, as I am thinking of our grandson, the eldest Giovanni who has the misfortane of inherting my personality. This is such a tender write, very softly written with much pride and love...
