A Perfect Season
So close
Yet so far
We could have had it all
We could have made history
Been remembered forever as the best
#1
Riding that high for the rest of our lifes
So damn close
Yet so very far away from
The perfect season
1 shot
1 chance
To prove all the haters and critics wrong
To pave our names up high amoug the legends of Superbowls long past
Now we are left to wonder
Until this time next year
Will we ever again get that chance?
That one in a million shot at...
The perfect season
Grown men aren't supposed to cry
Yes this we know
Still deep down inside
The boys we used to be
The little kids who used to play and dream so rough and tumble
Dream of that one perfect golden dream day
Those little boys cry
As with this painful loss
For now
For some of us
Forever
The dream of a perfect season fades away and dies
Nevermore to come our way again
