A Poem Waits In Me Poem by Shalom Freedman

A Poem Waits In Me

A POEM WAITS IN ME

A poem waits in me
I feel it
I slowly let it come
It does not say what it will be yet
It is a kind of small mystery
A question soon answered
A poem is being written through me
I let it come
It makes believe it knows it is real
And I am simply its passive dictation- taking vehicle.
