A Poem Waits In Me - Poem by Shalom Freedman

A POEM WAITS IN ME

A poem waits in me
I feel it
I slowly let it come
It does not say what it will be yet
It is a kind of small mystery
A question soon answered
A poem is being written through me
I let it come
It makes believe it knows it is real
And I am simply its passive dictation- taking vehicle.

Soul Silent Hooks Catch Word Lines

    a moment of patience
    contemplative reflective
    hooks catch word lines

    my body is bent rod
    my soul silent is hook
    my mind is the bait

    poems swim in ethereal rivers
    epic poems in uncharted seas
    masterpieces wait in void cosmos

    Poetic Mind Channels

    a moment of patience
    contemplative reflective
    as a passive medium

    in service to the muse
    is birthplace of poems
    in often mere moments

    mind buzz attracts
    eternal ethereal words
    poetic mind channels
