A Predicament Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

A Predicament

Rating: 5.0

Just like a blooming flower that opens up to the dawn
Just like a bird that sings in the morn
Just like the floating full-moon that is into the night sky born
Just like an oasis in a vast desert forlorn
I wish like to come to you in joy all alone.
But...
Just like the stem of a rose tree that sports prickly thorn
Just like the rhinoceros that sports a horn
Just like a piece of cloth bleached and torn
Alas, I am constrained to come to you
And this predicament of mine, I mourn.

Wow! A great composition! You have enumerated both: the positive, and the negative aspects of love masterfully!

The poem is divided into two parts. First one consists of a breath-taking collage of nature's landscape while part two presents the harsh realities gathered through our journey with which we reach the Almighty's abode in the end. Thanks for such a wonderful poem, Rajesh ji.

Don't be so self-conscious Rajesh-ji. Just leap - she is waiting with arms outstretched. You would be as happy as the full moon sailing in the placid sky. (10)
