A Romantic Old Man Poem by Raken Marimuthu

A Romantic Old Man

Rating: 5.0

Its winter and the beards are grey
But my heart just bloomed to the morning rays
The springs of the youthful days in oblivion
A knave it parted like the dews with the sun
The lust of the spring wind like a wasteland
Summer and autumn has all gone with the days
It’s time my grandson wanted to play with me
As I look back at the seasons that has passed
It is all void, just accidents, trifles of the days
Filled with anger, fear, doubt, hatred and revenge
Love was never there it's unbelievable time has passed.
No! Love is timeless and ageless, and priceless
I know my romantic princess will come
For she is there in the far horizon of my mind
She is just in the corner, she is right here I know
She has rekindled my lonely heart with life
A life with the exuberance of feelings and love
The presence is beautiful and it’s unimaginable
My roots have gained strength in the winter sands
I feel rejuvenated that I am in love again
It is not with her frame but the candle within
That gives the blessings of lust less solace
The embrace is divine the heart is warm
I am happy I am back to my spring days again.

Beautiful poem, rather than I would say an inspiring poem especially for the people who have reached old age.. Loved reading it.
