A self portrait poem:
Leave me alone
The girl with a far away face
She sits alone in her mind
And waits and waits and waits
What is she waiting for?
We don't know
Will it ever come?
We doubt so.
Come close, I'm alone
You're far away and you need to come down
Shes the girl with the far away face
She sits in front of you miles away
Where is she?
We don't know
Does she dislike it here?
Its hard to tell
I'm the girl with the far away face
I live in my head
And its easy to tell
On my face is a sign that reads
Out to lunch
Will I be back?
We don't know
When I do I don't like it
But I try and try so hard
Will I be back soon?
I don't know
When I do I don't like it
But I try so hard
To keep my head on the ground
Come close, I'm alone
You're far away and you need to come down
Shes the girl with the far away face
She sits in front of you miles away
Alone in my head I sit
I wish I could find a way to let you in
You wouldn't understand
But you'd be there and that'd be nice
I'm the girl with the far away face
In a world only I have seen
But you might like
Come close, I'm so alone
You're far away and thats your own fault
When you look at her
You notice shes not quite there
Saying hello with no reply
Staring at the ground so intense
She sits there and is gone
Left you behind
What is she waiting for?
We don't know
Will it ever come?
We doubt so.
She sits alone in her mind
And waits and waits and waits
She sits alone
So far away...
