A Smile (God And The World Today) ? Poem by Celeste Nicole Sanchez

A Smile (God And The World Today) ?

Long looks in the mirrors,
not sure who I am.
Long looks in the closet,
not sure what to wear.
Wouldn't it be more simple,
if no body cared?
Wouldn't it be easier if life wasn't determined by your looks?
A smile is worth a thousand words,
Or so I've been told.
I guess things like this,
only apply to those who are old.
I guess I'm an old spirit,
Cause I'm tired of living like this.
Why is it that everyone judges based on apperances?
What happened to living freely?
And doing the right thing?
It seems like all this got tossed away,
Within the last century.
I'm a girl with on purpose,
to express myself.
I'm a girl with one will,
And that'd be the will of God.
I'm a girl with one important goal,
To live in heaven forever.
It seems so difficult with all these worldly trends.
One thing after another,
People pushing the world closer to it's end.
A smile is worth a thousand words,
Or so I've heard.
What a wonder it would be if that smile could be me.
One smile with enough words,
To save the entire world.
Oh how wonderous,
To be so achieved.
No hunger for childrens,
No minds to be decived.
All living freely,
It would all happen if they just believed.
Believe in one.
Too great to be called a Man,
But great enough to be called a friend.
Someone one who cast away their only fleshed bodied son.
To die for My sins?
That takes guts.
How could one be so strong?
To send their own child,
To bear the sins of the world.
All before we had even been shown?
God knew that some of us would stray,
So he sent Jesus to lead the way.
And all those who accepted him,
And asked for forgivness,
Would be relieved of all their sin.
Amazing Grace.
How sweet to be known.
I've reached out My hand,
For thy who sits in a throne,
Using the earth as his footstool.
Although a smile is worth a thousand words...
I don't believe who ever first said that,
Had considered God's smile.
A being great enough to create a world....
His Smile is most definitly worth more words than exist in this world.
Oh what A wonderful God I have.
Smiling down on me.
I have so much thanks to give,
For sending his son to free me.
