A Star Connection Poem by Edwina Reizer

Scattered stars way up in the sky
connect to my heart and make me cry.
They make me wonder how long they were there
and when that was, where was I?

I know I am older than I do appear.
For I seem to remember being here
at some other time and some other place
on a night that was so clear
that those stars that are shining for my eyes
seem to me to immortalize
who I've always been now and then,
for I remember those stars in the skies.

My heart tells me there's something more,
something about being here before.
It intrigues me and I wish that I knew
how the stars and I both endure.
