A Step Aside Poem by Lex Leon

A Step Aside

Rating: 5.0

A step aside, ceasing to remember world’s commencement
Torn apart are the memories of the preceding past
The mind is cloudy, you are no more tormented
Look at the world in the new appearance
Crows circling above your enemies’ corpses
Compelled by nerve wrecking immunity to fears
Chains of steel have disintegrated
The paths of freedom are visible again, they were faded
You possess the ability to move in infinite directions
Your mind’s the only guide, limitless to actions
Yet somehow you’re inert, scared to step in rapture
Don’t lose your chance, it’s time to write a new chapter
As motionless you’re also silent, don’t keep it in, just scream
Turned into dust the dungeon you are in
The truth is burning you alive
You cannot take it, you lived your life a lie
Your dreams came true, being hopeful had a meaning
The rags of a slave you wore forever
Now suddenly went away for better
The past is disappearing like liquid current
Of melted snow when Spring pierces through like an arrow
We’ll never stay the same, our souls get narrow
In our hands are they keys to time and eternity
Let imagination wander and continue on
To the place where we’re unknown
We still exist yet we’re invisible to all
Where the sky’s tender hand caresses the Earth
You’re young and stronger, accomplish your goal
Turning tales in reality is the gift of your abilities
Create, and let the jealous ones choke on their simplicity
They’ll never reach us while we’re united
Their attempts are pointless, it’s asinine to fight it
The victory, we’ll split it equally, standing side by side
What’s for everyone a great distance
For us, it’s just a step aside…
