A Stop To Smile Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Stop To Smile

Rating: 4.2

I couldn’t stop my smile
I had forgotten it for a while
I received so many jerks or jolts
It was proving difficult to hold

I had no desire to enter into scuffle
I couldn’t adjust or reshuffle
It was all running my career
All danger were coming from rear

Every dog has his prize
Human beings always surprise
How to put trust and go ahead?
Who can believe you to be lead?

I have nothing to hide
I can trust and easily confide
That has remained my only weakness
I am for trust and frankness

You may stab me from the back
I will stay and not pack
I will not cry but stay firm
I emphatically say it and confirm

It may be custom to deceive
I shall adhere to and receive
I will receive no other thoughts
It will be fine to sail in same boat

You may back out and sabotage
You may burn my small cottage
There won’t be left anything to manage
I have come to know and grown with age
