I am firm and sure rather obstinate,
while slipping down on a slope,
I am tied firmly and shall not fall,
there is with me an unseen rope,
Child is born with much expectations,
But when I see a boy's frustrations,
I started waiting for my youth,
Mighty muscles and powerful arms,
A heart fully filled by wine of love,
And a beloved's inspiring charms,
The rope of my love when nicely worked,
Though I was hurt when I was jerked,
By passage of time I now analyze,
How nicely I turned my pain in pleasure,
Wealthy I shall die with pearls and gems
My children I'm leaving for you a treasure,
Sure, If I climbed a slippy mountain,
Will be back safely to earth's fountain.
Thanks for referring me as the inspiration of this poem. I am humbled. Through this wonderful poem, you have given a brief account of your journey of life- from childhood to the present stage- your unseen ropes, successes and achievements. What more one can aspire. By passage of time I now analyze, How nicely I turned my pain in pleasure, Wealthy I shall die with pearls and gems....
Rajnish will be pleased with your efforts. Success is often subjectively rated, and biased towards accumulation of wealth or status. I have neither, but I have healthy, happy, good children. I consider that success
Kelly Kurt, by the words pearls and gems I meant good thoughts, good ideologies and good character.
Of course, I am pleased as you said. You are really fortunate to have children blessed with health, happiness and goodness. May they succeed in life (success, though subjective, always feels good) . Thanks.
