A Suitcase Of The Past Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

A Suitcase Of The Past

The fragrance of faded dreams
Kept in a suitcase of the Past,
Brings forth a soft sweetness it seems
Of memories in golden dust.

The warm glow of such longing,
Revives the embers of lost days,
The thoughts they bring, captivating!
Vague images the mind could trace.

How a piece could lock in time,
The tender moments of the heart,
Contain within love's muted rhyme,
Hidden treasures, life's own art.
