A Toast To Life Poem by Felix Lugo

This is for the ones who never made it but will never be faded. For the ones who still fight this crazy place we call life. For the ones who suffer each night and cry themselves to sleep. For the youth who think they know it all. But will learn either now or the hard way. To those who made it and never turned around but just looked over their shoulders to make sure no one was holding them back. To those who gave their all but never got where they wanted. Keep trying. To the single moms, dads, and single females and males...there is someone for you! Don't ever think you're alone in this world. For the ones who had it all. But in a blink of an eye lost it all. We fall in order to learn how to get back up! For those who lost something/someone valuable in their life. It hurts. I know. Wounds do heal but the scars will remain. To remind us that what we go through is indeed real. To those who never try. It's time to break that seal! For the ones who made a change by turning their dreams into a reality and made a dollar out of 15cents. Encourage those around you. For the life long learners and teachers. Let us appreciate and respect your role. We love you! Sometimes we don't see what you teach in the classroom but we sure see it outside school. For ones who fought for our great nation to be free. While we don't always show our gratitude we do appreciate and respect you eternally. For the ones who believe in God or have other beliefs. Believe that there is always someone listening.....For the one who captured my heart unexpectedly, YOU! May you always #inspire and be #inspired. Thank you!
