A Trial Poem by Custous Angelus

A Trial

A trial to fall or rise
The trial will break your wings
Make you fall to the desolated earth
There you will perish
Or so you think
It is true that many have perished
On desolated earth there are many things
A venomous viper that will trick you and kill you
A jackal that will wait until you are weak and kill you
A fellow fallen one who will befriend then trick you and kill you
But if you pass these obstacles
If you do not deteriorate and become one of them
You will rise again
Your wings stronger than ever before
You will fly away from the desolated earth
And will be honored by all
