A Tribute To My Dog - Malone Poem by John Meissner

A Tribute To My Dog - Malone

Rating: 5.0

We will meet again one sunny day, in a field of green where puppies play.
You shall see us coming from afar, and dash with excitement to where we are.
With a wagging tail and funny grin, we shall laugh and play once again.
Until then we’ll be apart, but you’ll always reside within our hearts.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is a tribute to my dog; Malone. Following a brave and spirited battle with cancer, Malone succumbed to his illness and passed away on Sunday, March 24th,2013 at 12: 38 a.m.; just eight days after his 10th Birthday. Beloved companion, friend, and son of my wife Paula and I, and big brother to Sophie the cat, Malone will be greatly missed. I offer this poem as a lasting tribute to his memory.
