A Troubled Mind
Whither, yonder and beyond
Seeks the troubled mind
Like ripples moving on a pond
With scarce a look behind.
Problems, worries and more besides
Creep forever to the fore
And scarce a thought which pacifies
Remove the problems forever more.
Depression overcomes me fast
And clears away but slow
One hopes that it will not last
When problems bigger grow.
