A Vacation Day
Yesterday, I wished I had a day off.
Just one day off from numbness
Just one day off from weakness
Just one day off from pain
Just one day off from fatigue
Just one day off from 'well meaning' people
Just one day off from the threat of stupid doctors
who have no true idea how you feel
Just one day off from loneliness
Just one day off from this illness
Just one.
but I know just one could never do.
