A War Of Silence Poem by shannon wright

A War Of Silence

Rating: 5.0

a war of silence
you trap words
smugly holding them hostage
behind your crocodile smile
attention I draw
is always negative
you make me question
if I actually exist.
why would you ignore me,
the one you are supposed to love?
silence is the sound I hear,
words frozen
in the space between us
and I am languishing
in a silent movie
I call my lifemare.
