A Woman's Sigh Poem by Uriah Hamilton

A Woman's Sigh

I'm being kept alive
by the delicate dream
of existing pleasantly for a moment
in the staggering gaze
of your dark and mystical eyes.

You're reminiscent
of Helen, Cleopatra, or Isis:
some goddess or spellbinding beauty
that mesmerized the world
in an ancient time
when it made sense
to live or die
by the happiness or contempt
of a woman's sigh.
