A Woman Who Once Loved Poem by Majdoleen (Maggie) Sukayri

A Woman Who Once Loved

Never again will I hear her voice
Never again will she hold me close
She's robbed me of the one Holy Love
Struck down in the prime of life,
She walked herself into her own grave.

Chose to live and relive her past,
Never wanting to see reality.
Cried over what's lost.
She planned and plotted
She did everything she could.
But never was she given a chance.

The man she wanted was taken.
The life she dreamed of was forgotten.
Now a ghost, merely a memory.
She was a woman who once loved.

She loved a man to her death.
In return, her memory was erased.
She leaves behind three lost souls
One wanting answers.
Another in denial
The last… broken from knowing.
