A Wonderful Disaster Poem by Nicole Nieder

A Wonderful Disaster

Such a wonderful disaster
An emotionally long ride
Constantly falling in and out
Staying because of happiness
Leaving because of sadness
Best friends: always there for each other,
Through thick and through thin
No matter what
Enemies: breaking hearts,
Picking up all the pieces
Facing the world alone
A fine line between adoration and hostility
A lifetime of bliss, but sometimes it doesn't work out
Can be found in anyone
When it’s not there it means freedom, but it’s not enough.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
During english class, our assignment was to write a poem about anything. I decided one of the best topics for me to write about was love. Although I haven't had much experience with love, everyone knows what it is. I would dedicate this poem to everyone. Everybody will find that one person that they love and they will have to deal with the hardships throughout their journey.
