A Year
A year ago today, I heard you say 'I love you', only today I will watch you walk away. A year ago today, I held you close tonight, only today you will drift out of sight. A year ago today, we made love without a fight, only today you kiss your new girl. A year ago today I never thought it would be this way, only today I cry because I let you slip away.
