A Yellow Leaf On The Floor Poem by Kshitiz Arora

A Yellow Leaf On The Floor

Rating: 5.0

I saw it lying on the floor,
A dead yellow leaf in front of my door.
I picked it up, observed,
It looked pale and all my worries absorbed.
A tree stood high at the top,
Keeping guard at it like a cop.
The leaf I threw up in the air,
To diminish all its despair.
I noticed its paleness, fading,
To me goodbye it was bading.
But for how long could it fly in the air,
At last, it came back to the ground bare.
I left it lying on the floor,
A dead yellow leaf in front of my door.
