About Poets' Writes

Rating: 5.0

Who taught the Poet
How to write?
Who taught the Bird
How to sing?
No one,
But, Himself,
Thru feel and touch
And inner sight,
Devine, offering.

Poets cultivate
Their own inner light,
Gardens that flower
Seeded,
By Words' might
And musical ring
That must grow and flower,
With delight
As others participate
In their wonderous
Flight.

Great word play and rhyme but inside the seeds of thought are planted, then harvested. The 'rite', 'right', 'write' of imagination has no teacher or guru, feelings, self awareness, and acquired knowledge guide the pen.

A very lovely and heartfelt poem. So true. Poetry is an innate talent. It just flow from the core of our being. Beautifully written and expressed. To my Poem List.

Poetry comes from the heart, mind and soul of a poet. I loved your comparison of these depths to a garden. An excellent write!

True. It is a deep ache to want to say something that motivates a poet to write.

Exactly, who tells the sun how to set in its certain array of colors, poets creat their own inner light, and not everything is poetry as many just rant on an on, poetry must pour out from the heart. Very nice poem of truth
